Ekko has started working on franchising its glass collection service. This will mean vast amounts of CO2 will be saved across the whole of the UK. The Ekko Research and Development team are working on several models to make reverse vend logistics the next step in national waste logistics. The benefits both financially and environmentaly are potentially huge. Marketing & Business Development Director Brian Williamson, said "Ekko has perfected the system of crushing and extracting glass from a variety of different styles of outlets, we are now devising systems that will work in conjunction with a variety of delivery methods to extract glass cullet from licensed premises and make it available for recycling in the most efficient way possible. Ekko solutions has added a compact can and plastic bottle crusher to its range of Ekko solutions. This Ekko solution crushes cans and plastic bottles reducing their volume by 80%. This exciting product is no bigger then a water cooler and records the number of cans and bottles crushed so that the information can be logged and recorded as part of corporate social responsibility reports.

Ekko Solutions has bolstered its team with the arrival of Business Development & Marketing Director Brian Williamson. Brian has vast experience working with brands like Jack Daniels, Smirnoff, Bells Whisky, Gordons Gin, Archers Aqua, Smirnoff Ice, Johnny Walker, Guinness, Lambrini, Red Square and VS vodka. He has also worked in the Logistics, Freight and Entertainment industries.

Ekko Glass has been selected for the regional stage for the John Logie Baird Awards under the category - Early Stage - Impact through Innovation. If successful we will be through to the National Final, where the winner will be announced in March.

Ekko's research and development team are busy working on a new glass crushing machine to add to our glass crushing range. The machine is specifically design to fit into the manufacturing market place.

Ekko collected over 130 tonnes of crushed glass this month of which 80%plus will be optically seperated and used for re-melt.

Ekko Glass Recycling System has recently installed their glass crushing machines into several Glasgow venues belonging to the G1 group - Scotland's number 1 independent leisure operator.
By adopting our Glass collection system Ekko has helped the G1 group improve their recycling credentials and reduce their carbon footprint. The G1 group plan to roll out the Ekko glass crusher system throughout their other venues within Galsgow and the Central belt.
We are proud to be working with the G1 Group. Look out for an Ekko glass crusher coming to a G1 venue near you soon.

We are proud to announce that Ekko Glass now provide the glass collection for Glasgow Rangers Football Club.
The Ibrox Club are the 1st football team in the UK to recycle their glass waste using our GJK121 glass crushing machine, although they did insist we painted our green glass crusher blue!!

Ekko Glass exhibited their range of glass crushers at the RWM exhibition in Birmingham to great acclaim.
Having successfully perfected the Ekko system for collecting crushed glass "Cullet" and the reliability of our range of glass crushers, we are now looking to sell our machines to waste management companies, glass waste collectors, dealer partners, manufacturing companies, waste solution companies and the hospitality industry.

Ekko Director's Kevin Williamson and Robin Murray appeared on BBC's Dragon's Den to pitch their glass crushing machines and unique collection system. Unfortunately Duncan and co said "I'm out!".
